Non-invasive mAs measurement with X2 Volt and PROVA 15
BACKGROUND
RaySafe X2 Volt can be used together with the PROVA 15 current probe to measure non-invasive mAs. Follow the steps below to perform the measurement.
INSTRUCTIONS
EQUIPMENT
- RaySafe X2 system with X2 Volt Sensor
- Volt cable, banana connectors
- PROVA 15 current probe
STEP BY STEP
1. Turn on X2 base unit and connect the X2 Volt sensor.
2. Connect Volt cable (banana connectors) to the sensor and to the PROVA 15.
3. On the base unit, swipe right, tap Volt sensor.
a. Under Conversion factor, select 10 A/V.
b. Under Trig level, select 2 mV.
4. Press the home button on the base unit.
5. Select 4 A on PROVA 15.
6. Position the PROVA 15 on the cable you want to measure.
7. Press the ZERO button on PROVA 15.
8. Press Activate on the base unit.
9. Expose and read the result.
NOTES
The sign (+/-) on the measurement is dependent of the direction the PROVA 15 is positioned on the cable.
The PROVA 15 may have unstable zero level. Press Deactivate on the X2 base unit screen between measurements to adjust to a new zero level.
